Come on down to the gym and have a bowl of chili with the toppings and a drink!
Donations only for chili! Serving time starts at 5:30p.m. and we will go until the chili runs out or 7 p.m. which ever comes first!

Light the Night
The 31st is gaining on us that are working on Light the Night!
Just a reminder Baskets for the Auction will be on display this week!
We have some awesome baskets that have been put together!
Can't wait to see what they bring in for our school!
Be sure to let other parents know about them if you know someone not able to make it in to the school durring drop off and pick up times!
I can't believe what some of the Estimated Retail Value works out to be.
That value is based on all of our parents donations for the baskets!
Thank you to all who donated, dedicated time to put the baskets together, asked for donations!

Thank you!
PTF committee just wants to say thank you to all the parents who donated soda, crackers, chips, cheese, and desserts for the chili supper last night. Thank you for your time and effort, and thanks to all the families and teachers who attended. If you weren't able to make it last night, we hope to see you at future PTF functions!

CiCi's Pizza Night
Tonight is our first Cici's Pizza night!
Please make sure you let the counter person know you are there for Bethel Life School. If you can't make it, but you know someone who is not from Bethel going to Cici's Pizza on W. Central or S. Seneca, please ask them to help us by donating their receipt to our school. It is simple - place it in the bucket marked Bethel.
Hope to see some friendly faces tonight!

WOW! School is in full swing!
It has been a full week! Spelling, Bible, Math, Language...the list goes on! Don't forget the Sports and other activities that started too!
Just wanted to say that our Morning Coffee hour is EVERY THURSDAY. Please stop by for a cup of Joe and a visit with other parents!
Our PTF is putting out it's first newsletter in September- we hope you like it!
On the back, it will ask for your input. Please help us come up with an exciting year!
We are going to post prayer requests on the Blog. We are doing the newsletter in quarters, so any prayers will be old by time they are sent out! To keep the kids safe, we are only posting last names of the family who are asking for prayers. This keeps kids safe since anyone can read our wonderful blog :)
One thing I am willing to do is start a Prayer Chain! I will only use PTF email to mail out important items... updates, prayer request and changes that need your attention. This email will not send jokes or accept jokes. This is not my personal email, it is for the school PTF Committee!

Please remember to follow the directions in the school parking lot! We need traffic to flow! If your driving to the front door to drop off children..please stay to the right (along the sidewalk) and do not leave car in path unattended. If parking in the lot, stay to the left! When leaving the parking lot, please go to the west side of lot so that all incoming traffic (east side) still flows...even if it is 10 a.m. and no one is there! Follow these simple safe rules and we will have no accidents. If you remember last minute you need to come inside...please park and then come in!

Thanks to all who stopped by the PTF table
Last night was pretty busy night for many families- those returning back to school, and for our new families as well. We just want to say thanks to all the parents who stopped by the PTF table and asked about our plans for the year! If you picked up a survey from the table please fill it out and return to the PTF Voice Box in front of the school office. We love hearing from our school families! If you didn't get one, please contact blsptf@aol.com and we will email a form for you to fill out.
For those families that already signed up for PTF, we really appreciate your support! If you forgot or are thinking about it, just remember PTF has some special "Members Only" functions coming up!
Also, don't forget about tomorrow morning's FREE COFFEE when you drop off the kids. Please come in and visit for a minute or two!

Back to school coffee
For those who plan to drop of the kids for their first day of school, FREE coffee is waiting for you!
Stop by the school office area for a cup of coffee made with Starbucks coffee beans! Take a cup to go, or take a few minutes to get reacquainted with other parents and grandparents and meet some new parents!
Can't wait to see ya!
Plus, don't forget every Thursday after that is "Starbucks Thursday"- we will offer free coffee in the hallway for anyone willing to take a cup!
If you drop off and don't come in, try planning your Thursday mornings around FREE COFFEE! Park the car in the lot and come join us!

Cover our school with prayer!
I just wanted to remind everyone to lift Bethel Life school in your prayers.
We have some families undecided about joining our school. Pray for the families that have visited with the school this summer and ask that God gives their family guidance to choosing a school.
Pray for our returning teachers, and teachers who are changing roles in our school. Pray for God to guide them as they prepare for the new school year.
Pray for our school principal as Mr. Soule starts off the year- ask for God's guiding hand to be upon him. That he will be there for the kids of the school as a leader, role model, authority figure, a shinning light, a positive figure for our children.
Pray for our office staff; each role they have is very important for our school to run efficiently so pray that God is guiding them at all times.
Pray for the church staff; without the church, there would be no school. Pray that as the church makes the decision about the new pastor that God's hand is in it and that the person who becomes the new pastor will be a great fit for the church and our school.
Pray for our janitorial staff and groundskeepers and all the others I didn't mention who are the workers behind the scenes! Keep them all healthy and to be ready for accidents!
Pray for our latchkey staff- that they will have patience for the children who need this service.
Pray for our school nurse, music teacher, librarian, computer teacher, Spanish teacher, gym teacher, coaches, art teacher and any other teacher I forgot! Pray that they are patient with children, are ready for the school year, keep healthy, and know we appreciate them.
Pray for our kitchen staff as they prepare for our school lunches! Pray that they too will stay healthy as they prepare our food daily and that lunch times run smoothly and on time!
Pray for the teachers who have been called elsewhere to serve- they are following what God asks; that they are a bright light in a dark place; that wherever they are going is right for them, and they have peace with that choice.
Pray for the families that are still troubled with finances. Pray that God is guiding them to do what is right. If they decided they can't come back right now, we pray that maybe they will find a way to return when things pick up!
Pray for all the parents who will step into volunteer spots at our school- for the parents who will send items for class parties, help in fund raising, PTF. Pray that wherever they are asked to help, that there will be someone to fill the need.
Pray for all the children who are returning, that whatever is going on in their lives all is good, pray that the children who are bullied will not be bullied again. That the children who bully will know right from wrong this year. Pray for focus on the school year.
Just remember to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Can you believe that the new school year is about to start!
PTF has been busy this month getting ready for the return of school! We have held a meeting at my home to discuss the activities we would like to see happen in September - December. We have a lot of wonderful ideas - we are waiting to hear back from Mr. Soule so we can set the dates!
